One of Korean dishes that many foreigners love is Korean barbecue. It is not seasoned or braised but just meat like steak. Yeah, I would say it is Korean steak. Usually, there is a grill on the table and you grill the meat. However, in some places, servers grill it for you, which I love, and this place was one of them.
Overall, I felt that this restaurant was a combination of Korean and Western food. Instead of green lettuce for wraps, a lettuce salad comes here like in the picture above. Other side dishes also show the combination of the two like pickles made with Korean vegetables.
Just letting you know, in a typical BBQ restaurant in Korea, you usually get Kimchi, fresh garlic, spring onion or white onion slices with sauce, spicy side dishes, and Korean stew (Jjigae).
Also, you can enjoy the meal with wine instead of Soju, the most popular Korean alcohol. I see many restaurants which combine Korean and other food cultures 🙂 I like it!
Looking-good 🙂 Three other parts of the beef come nicely.
A server comes and grills it for you only until the outside of the meat is cooked. The rest is up to you.
You can grill it as much as you want. If you want well-done, put the meat on the grill more. Another good thing of this place was that it did not smoke so you do not need to worry about the smell on your coat.
You can’t miss Bokkeumbab (볶음밥; fried rice) after eating meat. They cook it for you and bring it to your grill. You can eat it right away but I recommend to make it flat with your spoon so that the rice gets crispy. Nurungji (누룽지; crispy rice) is always the best part of the meal!
